HEAL Team Supports London’s Bid in Healthy Kids Community Challenge

Members of Western’s Department of Geography and Human Environments Analysis Lab joined MPP Deb Matthews (Deputy Premier for Ontario) and other community members on Friday, November 28 for the announcement of London’s successful application to the Healthy Kids Community Challenge.

The HEALab helped prepare the funding application and is a key partner organization on the project. Over the next four years, a collaborative team of partner organizations in London will deliver local programs and activities to promote children’s health, focusing on healthy eating, physical activity, sleep, and healthy lifestyle choices. Representing Western, Dr Gilliland serves as a member of the Project Planning Table and the HEALab will provide expertise in evaluation methodology. Learn more here.
