Michael Clark has worked as Senior Researcher and Programs Administrator at the Old East Village BIA for 2 years. In that role he managed the City of London's Financial Incentives Programs for property owners in the Old East Village to renovate and upgrade buildings. As Senior Researcher he also undertook research to support the next stage of the redevelopment of the Old East Village through the creation of a Local Economic Development Plan and a Local Economic Development Corporation to grow the burgeoning Food, Arts and Culture Districts. During his undergraduate degree he researched the role that the Western Fair Farmers' and Artisans' Market plays in community development of the Old East Village and measuring its economic impact on the local community. His current research interests include the potential for food business incubators and other tools and innovations to support local economic and community development, small business growth, and strengthen local food systems.
