ACT-i-Pass Newsletter: June 2019

Dear ACT-i-Pass Participants,

Now that the 2018-2019 ACT-i-Pass Program is coming to an end, we hope that everyone enjoyed the activities offered and got the most out of the program! We want to ensure that all of our participants can continue using London’s recreation centres and programs that encourage youths to live healthy and active lifestyles. Below you will find information regarding the various programs offered in the city, as well as how to register.

The Boys and Girls Club of London:

The Boys and Girls Club of London offers affordable recreational, social and educational programs, promoting physical and emotional well-being while boosting self-esteem and confidence. The Children & Youth programs offered by the Boys and Girls Club include: swimming, arts & crafts, fitness & recreation games, music lessons, science activities, social clubs and much more! Children & Youth Membership prices are determined by the number of children in the home and the gross annual household income (more info). The YMCA of Western Ontario:

The YMCA of Western Ontario’s mission is to be a multi-service charity that provides opportunities for personal growth in spirit, mind and body for people of all backgrounds, beliefs and abilities. The YMCA is committed to helping our next generation to grow into healthy individuals and passionate future leaders. The YMCA of Western Ontario offers a Financially Assisted Membership Program. This program serves those individuals and families who have the greatest need in our community, those individuals that are unable, but not unwilling to pay the full fee. The YMCA will make every effort to accommodate all those people who wish to participate. For more information about the YMCA of Western Ontario, check out their website.

City of London/SPECTRUM Programs:

Since the 1970s, active Londoners of all ages have recognized City of London Recreation Programs (formerly known as SPECTRUM) as their guide to find useful information regarding London’s many recreational opportunities. Londoners are encouraged to participate in the City of London’s many leisure and recreation programs!  For those unable to meet the full costs of recreation programs, financial assistance may be available. Palasad South:

There are many great promotions for kids and their families at Palasad South!

Manic Mondays: $2 Bowling Games, $5 Ping-pong/hour, $5 laser tag

Half Price Fun Tuesdays: Bowling, Billiards, Ping-Pong, Laser Tag, Arcade Game play

Family Funday (Sunday): Kids eat half price + Half price food + Fun Bundles

Children’s Museum of London:

Enjoy everything the London Children’s Museum has to offer all year long with a family, grandparent or group membership! Become a Children’s Museum member today to enjoy all they have to offer! Membership levels include the following benefits: free unlimited admission to the Children’s Museum, free admission to participating science attractions across Canada, free admission to their premium events, and much more! SARI Therapeutic Riding:

SARI provides children with or without special needs with many programs, including Therapeutic Riding, Summer Camp, Horseback Driving, Little Britches Farm Discovery, and Horse Grooming. The dedication of staff and volunteers makes SARI one of Southwestern Ontario’s most well respected therapeutic riding organizations. Make sure to complete the Program Application and Physician’s Referral to apply for any of their programs. For more information about SARI, please visit their website.
