HEALYAC 2025-2026: Meeting #10

This meeting consisted of the group continuing planning for the YAC-YAC and the third episode of the HEALYAC podcast. Planning for the YAC-YAC involved reviewing the timeline for the conference and allocating members to respective roles.
Staff co-facilitator, Shawna, introduced members to the moderator roles that are required during our online conference. Each member was able to choose which section they wish to oversee. Content discussed during this meeting will be built upon in our upcoming meeting as we complete a full run through of our conference, which will take place virtually on April 11th, 2026.
To conclude the meeting, members broke off into small discussion groups to review and continue planning for our third podcast episode which will discuss youth mental health in the context of healthy cities. Members answered questions relating to youth mental health and well-being reflecting on how their local city connects to these aspects of young people’s lives. Our third episode hopes to feature a guest speaker, so members also brainstormed some questions that they wish to pose to a mental health professional.
