The Acorn Fund for Youth Grant: YAC-YAC 2027

The HEAL Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is excited to announce that we have been awarded funding through the London Community Foundation‘s Acorn Fund for Youth to support our upcoming national summit in 2027 the Youth Advisory Conference of Youth Advisory Councils (YAC-YAC).
YAC-YAC 2027 will be a youth-driven and led conference that will bring together young people and YACs from London and across Canada to discuss issues that impact youth well-being and healthy communities. Participants will have opportunities to share their vision for healthy communities, learn more about municipal decision-making, and become empowered to advocate for positive change. Through conversations and knowledge sharing, participants will explore challenges facing youth today and work together to identify practical solutions that can be adapted within their own communities as well as foster lasting connections among emerging young leaders from across Canada.
Funding from the Acorn Fund for Youth will help support venue costs, participant resources, food, guest speakers, and other activities that make this event accessible and engaging for youth participants.
We are grateful to the London Community Foundation for their investment in youth leadership and community engagement. This support recognizes the important role that young people play in helping one another, strengthening their communities, and creating positive change.
Planning for the summit is already underway, with the event anticipated to take place in Spring 2027. So stay tuned! We look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.
