Alexander is a PhD Candidate at Western working as a research associate with the HEAL conducting research under the Food Retail Environment Study for Health and Economic Resiliency (FRESHER) Project. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Victoria with a specialty in Urban Geography and Canadian History, majoring in both Geography and History with a minor in Cooperative Education, and a Master of Science in Urban Studies, magna cum laude, from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Université Libre de Bruxelles. His primary research interests span a wide array of fields in Geography including but not limited to Climatology, Economic Geography, Urban Geography, Sustainability, Circular Economy, Environmental Geography, and Digital Geographies.
