Dr. Dong Liu

Dr. Dong Liu is a postdoctoral associate at the Department of Geography and Environment, Western University. Dong obtained his PhD in Geography from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2021. His doctoral research focused on examining spatial accessibility to socioeconomic resources (e.g., healthcare) and physical environment (e.g., greenspace) as well as space-time patterns of COVID-19. Recently, his research concentrates upon exploring intervention measures that are conducive to promoting physical activity among Canadian children and youth. Dong has strong expertise in quantitative analysis and are involved in various projects at the Human Environments Analysis Laboratory such as Spatial-Temporal Environment and Activity Monitoring, Pandemic COVID-19 Patient Transport and Active & Safe Routes to School.
