Luis is a PhD student in Geography and Environment at Western University. He has experience across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, with a primary focus on nonprofit work and cross-sector collaborations aimed at systemic change and innovation. His last role before joining the program was SDG Cities London Program Manager.

Luis has been involved in a diverse range of sustainable initiatives, including urban placemaking, cycling as transportation, local organic farming, zero waste programs, alternative education, and the arts and sports.

His research interests include urban mobility, justice, urban planning, and environmental sustainability. At the lab, Luis is one of the co-facilitators of the HEAL Youth Advisory Council (HEALYAC).
