Western University
Megan Graat is a PhD student in Western University’s Geography department, under the supervision of Dr. Jason Gilliland. Megan Graat has been involved with the HEAL since May 2019, originally as a Masters-level practicum student. She is a past graduate of Western University’s Master of Public Health program and is a Registered Kinesiologist. Megan is eager to expand her conceptualization of health and the role of place to bridge the gaps between academia, practice, and communities’ lived experiences to solve complex problems rooted in health inequities. Megan’s thesis will focus on the impacts of the school travel planning intervention on children’s travel behaviour and physical activity levels.
