Danielle Tobin is a Research Associate at the Human Environment Analysis Laboratory (HEAL). She completed her Masters and PhD in Kinesiology at Western University. Her graduate work examined the use of children’s active play imagery. More specifically her research examined how active play imagery could be used to increase children’s leisure-time physical activity. Danielle also completed her post-doctoral fellow in the HEAL lab in 2016. During that time, she worked on various projects including overseeing the completion of systematic reviews on nature and children’s health (i.e., physical activity, mental health, and social and cognitive development). Currently, Danielle oversees the HEAL’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) as well as working on various projects such as SmartAPPetite, ACT-i-Pass, and Active and Safe Routes to School.
